The First Honorary Diploma of NAO

Since 2010, this is the first time we have issued an honorary Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP).

This was done due to the request of one of our alumni in Ottawa. This manual osteopath treated a young lady for chronic pain. This 19 years old patient was so impressed with manual osteopathy that she decided to enrol at National Academy of Osteopathy to become a manual osteopath. Unfortunately she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. This made her dream of becoming a manual osteopath impossible.

We however decided to issue an honorary diploma to her. This was done at the NAO graduation ceremony in Toronto on February 16, 2019.

The first honorary NAO diploma is issued to Ms. Ailish Shelby Devine of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
