The Canadian manual osteopathy job analysis report (2013) by the Council on Manual Osteopathy Education indicates that the province of Ontario (Canada) has a shortage of 2,500 manual osteopaths.

Currently there is only 1 manual osteopath per 20,000 people in
Ontario (0.05 per 1,000)! To compare this to other health professionals; there
is 1 MD per 500 people, 1 physiotherapist per 1,500 people and 1 chiropractor
per 3,000 people.
