Dr Pourgol’s business lectures are one of the reasons we graduate successful manual osteopaths. We teach students everything we know about business management. Here is a comment Dr Pourgol received from his student, manual osteopath, Dani Reid (graduated August 2016) who opened her own private osteopathy clinic recently in London (Ontario, Canada):
National Academy of Osteopathy (Canada) is the largest provider of osteopathic education in the world, with alumni in 72 countries. It is the only osteopathy college to receive recognition award for teaching excellence from Ontario Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities. NAO is affiliated with Osteopathy Chronic Pain Clinics of Canada which has over 346 clinics in 33 countries.

Regulation of Osteopathy in Ontario
The
word "osteopathy" is not regulated in Ontario or any of the other provinces in Canada. The
word "osteopath" is regulated in Ontario. That is why National Academy of Osteopathy (Canada) graduates are permitted
to use the word "osteopathy" in their clinic names or call what they do
"osteopathy". The term "osteopath" is regulated in Ontario, British Columbia and some
other provinces but not all.
In the province of Quebec and some other provinces our graduates can call themselves "osteopath". In provinces where the term "osteopath" is regulated our graduates call themselves manual osteopaths or osteopathic manual practitioners.

Dream Big, Take Action
I have chosen “Dream Big, Take Action”
as the motto for the Pourgol Family Coat of Arms because it signifies
my life philosophy and the reason for my success.
When I started National Academy of Osteopathy, I dreamed big. I set a goal of teaching in 100 cities across the world and having manual osteopaths there. Now we have alumni in 68 countries (well over 100 cities worldwide). While “dreaming big” gives me the motivation and energy to persevere “taking action” is the part that makes my big dreams come true.

I teach my students everything I know about business because I want
them to achieve financial success. You can also achieve your goals if
you take action and do three things daily that bring you closer to your
goals.

Chiropractic and Osteopathy: A Patient’s Experience
Here is a patient testimony given by Ms. Bianca Lau (taken from her Facebook page with permission https://www.facebook.com/asianbeyonce?fref=ts). The treating manual osteopath was Sean Dawkins, a 2016 graduate of National Academy of Osteopathy. Sean works at the Lakefront Medical Clinic in Toronto.
“Sean has helped me get through my lower back injury the past couple months. I was very hesitant to try an alternative treatment after the frustration of spending hundreds of dollars with a chiropractor -with little to no results. I was very impressed of the noticeable difference after my first treatment with Sean. Since then, I've been seeing him once a week, and I'm excited to be able to lift heavier weights at the gym again!”

RESP: free money from government to study osteopathy
Are you taking advantage of RESP's? If not, you are missing a great opportunity to get money from the Canadian government towards your children's osteopathic education!
Canadians can use registered education savings plan (RESP) to pay in full for the cost of tuition of the diploma in osteopathic manual practice program of National Academy of Osteopathy.
The Canadian government offers thousands of dollars to help families defray the cost of tuition for their children by allowing them to open a registered education savings plan for each child. And here's the best part: for every dollar you put into the plan, the government kicks in a little extra for you. Depending on your income, the government portion can rise to as much as 40 cents for every dollar you put in yourself.

Saving Money Helps You Live Longer!
Research into money and how it affects people was lacking
for a long time. These days researchers have started looking into affects of
money on health and well being and I like this very much.
Researchers showed already that money improves your
happiness, and quality of life. A research published today showed the mortality
rate of people without savings, who have cancer or heart conditions was higher
than those who had savings. This, researchers contributed to “financial stress”.
I teach my students to save 10% of their income and to keep
6 months of their income as available cash for emergencies. It is now proven by research that saving money makes you
live longer.
What sets us apart from other schools is all the knowledge our students receive in business management, wealth creation, asset protection, tax planning, investment, marketing, advertising, public relations, accounting and financial planning. We graduate successful manual osteopaths because we teach them everything we know about business management.
