Becoming a Canadian

Veterinarian physician, Dr Lizbeth Ordonez Trujillo (from Mexico) was able to apply for the Canadian permanent residency after enrolling at the on-campus DOMP program of National Academy of Osteopathy.

Congratulation Dr Trujillo for becoming a Canadian as well as a manual osteopath!

Mark MacKenzie, DOMP president of the British Columbia Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (BCAOMP) was kind enough to offer free one year membership to BCAOMP to all DOMP graduates of National Academy of Osteopathy (Canada) who practice manual osteopathy in British Columbia (Canada).

We are grateful to Mr MacKenzie for this generous offer. Please contact BCAOMP to receive your license number which you will need to bill insurers.

Osteopathic education is now accepted by the Ontario Government for Second Career Funding!

Second Career is an Ontario government program that will pay the cost of your osteopathy tuition. The Ontario government is helping laid-off workers get back to work.

You may qualify for up to $28 000 to pay for tuition and expenses such as:
• Books
• Living expenses
• Help caring for dependents
• Travel & Transportation
• Disability supports
• Other living and training costs

National Academy of Osteopathy is now accepted by the Ontario government as a provider of manual osteopathic education for the Career program to help laid off workers become manual osteopaths.

Osteopathy is popular with nurses

Here is a post from nurse, natural health practitioner & manual osteopath Dr Meddrick Polluck (from Brampton, Ontario, Canada), a graduate of National Academy of Osteopathy:

Ever since Manual Osteopathy was revived and brought back to the forefront by Dr. Shahin Pourgol, all Manual Osteopaths must honor him for the great contributions he has made and the struggles he has endured to keep manual osteopathy alive and to bring Manual Osteopathy to us in a new light.

Dr. Pourgol went as far as founding the World Osteopathy Day. I believe we should not allow this day to go by every year unanswered, in other words we should utilize this day to the maximum for the support and recognition of Manual Osteopathy. Therefore, let us hold this day in the highest regard and magnify it while making it our resolve to plan events to commence on June 22, 2018.
