Letter From Dr. Amy Anderson, DOMP, DO (Spain)

Here is a letter NAO President received from Dr. Amy Anderson, DOMP, DO (Spain) who studied at National Academy of Osteopathy (Canada).

"Thank you Dr. Pourgol for all that you have done for me and for Osteopathy… and now Naprapathy! I have a very fulfilling practice in Port Hope, Ontario. Most of my clients come in weekly or bi-weekly because they enjoy my treatments so much! You have made my life so much richer in so many ways! GOD bless you as well! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!

I am thrilled with my choice to attend National Academy of Osteopathy for my DOMP and NUMSS (National University of Medical Sciences) for my DO! So much so that I am now enrolled in the Doctor of Naprapathy program! I started this journey at 52 years old and my decision to study Osteopathy was the best decision in my life… after my decision to have 5 children!! Lol! This training has changed my life!"

Mandatory Interviews

Effective immediately all applicants who wish to get admissions to any of the osteopathy programs we offer at National Academy of Osteopathy (Canada) must do a virtual interview with Dr. Pourgol as part of their admission process.

Thank you.

NAO Graduation Day - August 2023

National Academy of Osteopathy 25th Graduation Day (in the past 13 years) at our York University Heights campus- August 24, 2023

Osteopathy & Professional Athletes

Osteopathy as a career is quite popular with athletes. We have as students a number of Olympic level athletics who are members of the national teams. We also have many Brazilian Jujitsu and mixed martial arts practitioners including Taekwondo blackbelt and MMA champion Melissa Sophia Karagianis who graduated this week from the DOMP program we offer at National Academy of Osteopathy.

Join us, study osteopathy at National Academy of Osteopathy and secure your future.

Dr Pourgol Signing Diplomas

After a long day of signing the diplomas for the graduation day of DOMP students at the York University Heights campus of National Academy of Osteopathy (Canada) Dr. Pourgol was rewarded with some fat and sugar in the form of a blueberry Danish and a Cinnabon from a café near our campus!

Saturday is the graduation day. It is now 13 years we teach osteopathy!

Many of our current students were osteopathy patients who decided to study osteopathy after being treated by a National Academy of Osteopathy graduate.

Registered nurse, Zahra Nematpoor-Faridan is an example. After seeing Dr. Amir Kazemi for 4 visit, her chronic pain was gone and that was the key in her deciding to study osteopathy. Zahra owns a number of medical beauty and Botox clinics inside her husband's walk-In medical clinics. Soon osteopathy will also be provided in her clinics as well!

Zahra was so nice to bring us these yummy baklavas and coffee!

Location is not as important as you think!

Yes, there are locations such as Naples in Florida, Scottsdale in Arizona and most towns in California where it is a lot easier to make it big as a manual osteopath. But if you focus on treating chronic pain effectively then you can make it big no matter where you are practicing osteopathy as chronic pain is everywhere and that is why we focus heavily on chronic pain education at National Academy of Osteopathy.

NAO student Vitalia, who moved from Alberta to a tiny town in British Columbia (Canada) illustrates this point perfectly! She has a fully booked practice in a tiny town of just 1500 people! And she has done such a great job there that massage therapist Kassandra Michelle, from that same town also decided to study osteopathy after visiting Vitalia!

As a matter of fact, most students at NAO are patients and/or referrals from our alumni! And we are grateful to Vitalia for referring Kassandra. Our students love NAO!

We are specially proud of Vitalia and Kassandra as both have become landowners (they own over 80 acres of land in BC!) and now are self sufficient, growing their own food, using solar panels and wind turbines for electricity and taking water from a river and well. That is one beautiful life!

Dr. Pourgol Now a Licensed Chiropractor in Spain

Newfoundland and Labrador’s Organization of Women Entrepreneurs (NLOWE) Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award Winner is an NAO Graduate!

Congratulations to National Academy of Osteopathy graduate, Jaime Evans for receiving the 2021 Newfoundland and Labrador’s Organization of Women Entrepreneurs (NLOWE) Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

National Academy of Osteopathy graduates successful manual osteopaths because our students receive over 250 business management lectures by Dr Shawn Pourgol, MBA, DC, DO, PhD. These lectures are the main reason why NAO alumni have average annual income of $150,000 which is $60,000 more than what other manual osteopaths make in Canada.

Congratulations to the College of Registered Manual Osteopaths for being recognized by the Alberta Blue Cross

The College of Registered Manual Osteopaths received the following statement from Alberta Blue Cross Insurance Company in regards to reimbursement for manual osteopathic care provided by Registered Manual Osteopaths (RMOs):

“Alberta Blue Cross does not have an approved provider list, we simply verify the credentials of practitioners as claims come in. Since the College of Registered Manual Osteopaths is located in Ontario, we would recognize them as a body for manual osteopaths practicing in Ontario. The approval or denial of claims will depend on the specific benefits of the member’s plan.”

Congratulations to the College of registered Manual Osteopaths For Being Accepted by Medavie Blue Cross

Congratulations to the College of Registered Manual Osteopaths for getting registered manual osteopaths accepted by the Medavie Blue Cross in Canada. This is a big achievement for RMOs.
