US Weight Lifting Champion Joins NAO

We have top students!
American Matthew Elam, one of the Hawaii state weight lifting champions (in the super heavyweight division) is set to graduate from National Academy of Osteopathy in August 2018.
Manual osteopathy (known as osteopathic manual practice in US) attracts many top level athletes. We have as alumni a number of national and Olympic level athletes who are now working as osteopathic manual practitioners.

NAO President Authors Paper

NAO president, Dr Shawn Pourgol, MBA, DC, DO, PhD co-authored a paper with four top researchers, including the world's most famous osteopathic researcher, Dr Bruno Bordoni, DPT, DO, PhD.

The research paper is titled: "The influence of breathing on the central nervous system". The paper is now published on CUREUS. It will be submitted for indexing in PubMed Central in two months. (Look for it to appear in PMC shortly thereafter).
