Students Working in Same Clinic

We just found out two of National Academy of Osteopathy students who practiced together at NAO campus, ended up working together!!
Congratulations to Laura and Blake two of our very good students for starting their new careers as manual osteopaths in Ontario. They graduated in Feb 2017.

$400 per 90 minutes of osteopathic care

National Academy of Osteopathy graduate, manual osteopath & registered massage therapist Thomas Andrew seen here with NAO president, Dr Shahin Pourgol in April 06, 2016, charges $300 US (about $400 Canadian) per 90 minutes of Osteopathic care provided to cash patients.
Thomas is a Canadian who practices in the island of Bermuda.
Previously the record of highest fee charged was by an NAO graduate practicing in London (Ontario) who charged $270 (Canadian) per hour.
Congratulations Thomas. We are so proud of you.

Our Students

Our students, Charmaine MJ & Christina Anderson at National Academy of Osteopathy. They have such positive energy. We are happy to see them every day at our York University Heights campus. Such great students!

Mandatory Video Exam for ALL Online Students

Starting with the September 2017 class, all online students of National Academy of Osteopathy (Canada) must pass video exams that involves them doing a series of manual therapy techniques on someone while being videotaped. The videos are then send to our instructors to be evaluated.
We have had this system for a while now but it was optional. From September it becomes mandatory.
Technical assistance will be provided to students who need assistance with how to upload a video to us.

No More Scholarships

In the past 7 years National Academy of Osteopathy (Canada) has handed out millions of dollars in scholarships to expand osteopathy in different countries.
We have now alumni in 68 countries. We feel scholarships are no longer a viable method of expanding osteopathy worldwide as osteopathy now has roots in 68 countries thanks to NAO (Canada).
Therefore, effective immediately we have terminated all our scholarships. The current students who have received scholarships will continue to keep their scholarships. However no new ones will be offered.

Mandatory External hard Drive Purchase

After June 01, 2017, it is mandatory for all national and international students of National Academy of Canada to purchase from NAO the external portable hard drive containing all the video lectures.

For students who register before June 01, 2017 the external hard drive is optional.

The external hard drive permits student to watch our video lectures offline on TV or a computer screen without the need for internet. the video quality is higher and faster without interruption that sometimes happen due to low internet speed or high traffic on a local internet.

NAO Student Loan Program Discontinued

For the past 7 years we have arranged $2500 in students loans for selected National Academy of Osteopathy students. Effective today, we have terminated NAO's student loan program. We will no longer process loan applications.
Students with good credit history can obtain loans from their own banks if they wish.

Internship Certificate

Campus based NAO students:
Starting this term we will issue a certificate to you (free of charge), suitable to be framed, upon completion of your clinical internship at NAO student clinic.
The certificate shows that you have successfully completed all the requirements of clinical internship and have seen the required number of patients at NAO teaching clinic.

Letter from a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Master

A letter we received today from a graduate of NAO in Vancouver:

I just wanted to write this testimonial to say thank you to Dr. Pourgol, and everyone at The National Academy of Osteopathy. Being one of the first graduates from BC in 2012, I have seen the tremendous growth of osteopathy thanks to his efforts. The one key lesson that I always remembered from Dr. Pourgol is how to build a business.

With this in entrepreneurial spirit in mind, I used my credentials from NAO to open doors outside of a traditional practice such as professional speaking, author, and now information products. His guidance helped me think outside of the box for business this is missing from other osteopathy programs out there. For this, I will always thankful for having the opportunity to study at NAO.

Sincerely,

Professor Raz Chan, BA, DOMP
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt, Bestselling Author & Speaker
