The Power of Unity

To get Osteopathic Manual Practice (OMP) regulated in Ontario we must unite. There are only 2 osteopathic physicians (DO) in Ontario (21 in Canada) and they got osteopathic medicine regulated in Ontario and all other Canadian provinces! We have more than 1000 osteopathic manual practitioners in Ontario and yet so far we are not regulated in any Canadian province.

I call for all osteopathic schools, associations, students, businesses and practitioners to set aside political differences to unite and help us get OMP regulated in Ontario. I have donated $200,000 to this campaign. We have the financial backing and budget to get this done, but we need your help for grass root work for mobilizing the public and patients. If all of your patients and the people you know send letters to the members of parliament, the government will notice us. We are starting to mobilize the public and need you to join us.

Please help OMP get regulated in Ontario. Your future depends on it.

New Employment Trend for Osteopaths

With the popularity of osteopathy with patients and its ability to help athletes function better, National Academy of Osteopathy decided that osteopathy could be the right fit inside gyms across Canada and USA.

NAO approached a number of gyms to send their personal and fitness trainers to study manual osteopathy.  This has become such a successful phenomenon that NAO is receiving many applications from personal trainers.

Soon most gyms in North America will have manual osteopaths/personal trainers on site for their members.  This is another way NAO is expanding osteopathy. No other osteopathic college in history has ever done so much for osteopathy. NAO is the single most reason osteopathy is now offered worldwide to millions of patients.

A Different Type of Employment

A number of National Academy of Osteopathy graduates of the DOMP program who enjoy travelling, have found employment in the luxury Caribbean hotels & resorts as well as European spas to provide osteopathic soft tissue work for whole body relaxation. This is a new field in osteopathy. While osteopathy is used mostly to treat pain, a number of osteopaths are providing services for whole body relaxation and this is becoming very popular with clients.

This field has been created by National Academy of Osteopathy. This is one of the ideas taught to students by NAO professor Dr Pourgol in his “Creating a Million Dollar Practice” lecture series.

Cranial Osteopathy & Visceral Techniques Added to DOMP Curriculum

Cranial Osteopathy & Visceral Manipulation Techniques Added to NAO Curriculum

To make the Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP) program of National Academy of Osteopathy (NAO) World Health Organization (WHO) compliant; a number of advanced osteopathic techniques have been added to NAO DOMP curriculum.

These osteopathic techniques are taught to all NAO students starting September 28, 2013. Previous NAO graduates have the option of taking these courses as continuing education units (CEU) to satisfy the requirements of the College of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners of Ontario (COMPO).

Program consists of approximately 144 hours of lectures and self directed studies.
Professor: Dr Jorge Aranda, Professor at Escuela Universitaria de Osteopatía (Barcelona, Spain) & British College of Osteopathic Medicine (UK)

Tuition: Free for all NAO graduates who have enrolled in either the National Academy of Osteopathy Fellowship Program in Osteopathic Rehabilitation Sciences. For NAO students and graduates not enrolled in these two programs the tuition is set at $1,000 plus HST. For all others the tuition is set at $1,500.
