The Ontario (Canada) Minister of Training, Colleges & Universities, honorable Dr Reza Moridi has been kind enough to send a greeting to National Academy of Osteopathy students and staff.

Here is the content of the greeting:

“As the Minister of Training, Colleges & Universities, I am pleased to send my best greetings to the students and staff of the National Academy of Osteopathy. Our government wants everyone in our province to succeed, whatever their career aspirations may be. The Academy trains people in a specific skill that is not readily available elsewhere. By doing so, you allow your students to pursue their dreams, enjoying rewarding careers and contribute to the well-being of the people of Ontario.”  

This is our fifth year anniversary. It was 2010 when NAO was founded by manual osteopath, Dr Shahin Pourgol. In just a few years we have become the largest provider of osteopathic education worldwide teaching in 45 countries.

In many countries all practicing manual osteopaths are NAO graduates. In Canada over half of the manual osteopaths are NAO alumni. 

This is all thanks to our students who have made us a success story. 

Massage Therapists love manual osteopathy!

20% of National Academy of Osteopathy graduating class in Toronto, Canada in this term (Feb 2015) were massage therapists.

Manual osteopaths are in high demand in Canada. In some cities such as London (Ontario, Canada) there is a waiting list of over a year to see a manual osteopath.  This is mainly due to the success of manual osteopaths in treating chronic pain of musculoskeletal origin.

Another benefit for massage therapists (in Canada only) to become manual osteopaths is that their patients will have access to more treatments as their extended health plan insurers also cover manual osteopathic care. So when the massage therapy benefit runs out, patients can use manual osteopathic benefit under their insurance plan to receive more treatments if necessary.

Medical doctors love manual osteopathy!

Manual osteopathy is extremely popular amongst internationally graduated medical doctors. Here are five international medical graduates (IMG) who have graduated from the Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice program (D.O.M.P.) of National Academy of Osteopathy. They attended the graduation ceremony on February 06, 2015 held at the York University Heights campus of NAO.
